It is an exciting time to be part of the community at Accord Sixth. It is an incredibly dynamic place and opportunities for academic, social, personal and ‘growth’ experiences abound. We are fiercely proud of our record in offering first class academic support to students, coupled with a friendly and welcoming environment. In short, we think we are ideally placed to help you make the best of these Post 16 years.
The college benefits from the resources and teaching expertise of the wider academy, while enjoying a base exclusively reserved for Post 16 students. This blend of familiarity and new adventure makes the sixth form a popular choice with many of our Ossett Academy students – as well as those from other establishments across three Local Authorities. Accord Sixth provides students with a healthy mix of guided teaching sessions and supported study, which put students on the road to independence, making them successful students of either A Levels or Level 3 Vocational qualifications.
Our pathways to progression offer students a personalised programme of study, which, underpinned by our excellent Careers Education, Advice and Guidance, leads students towards their preferred destinations on leaving. The ethos in the campus is something we are particularly proud of. Students are challenged to meet the tough academic standards required of Post 16 study, alongside a backdrop of stable comfort and support which helps them to develop socially and culturally.
The Inspiring Excellence Programme
